Shipton Hill is an undecided hillfort – evidence of Iron Age occupation, but differences of opinion as to whether it is a naturally scarped hill, or whether there has been modification. Possibly unfinished? A slingstone hoard points towards a defensive attitude, if not real defences. See also The Castle – another undecided.
