The Bowry Walls hillfort is an oval univallate Iron Age enclosure of approx. 9 acres (3.6 hectares). Bowry Walls hasn’t had a lot of luck over the years – it’s been subject to modification by the building of a royal hunting lodge, a resevoir, a radio station and much chalk quarrying.
