Norsebury Ring, Hampshire

Norsebury Ring hillfort is a univallate Iron Age enclosure of some 7.9 acres (3.2 hectares), sub-circular in shape. Badly damaged by ploughing – only the North and West ramparts have survived, preserved as wooded field boundaries. Surveyed as part of The Wessex Hillfort Project, which revealed evidence of dense occupation and identified two original entrances in the South East and South West corners.
