Road Castle Camp hillfort. Of probably Iron Age date, Road Castle Camp is square in shape and encloses less than half an acre (0.3 hectares) of land. The ramparts have been damaged by ploughing, and the Eastern run has been replaced by a hedge bank. The Southern bank is the most complete section, and stands up to 15 feet (4.5 m) high. The original entrance is thought to have been in the lower part of the Eastern bank.
