Solsbury Hill Hillfort, Somerset
Solsbury Hill hillfort (properly known as ‘Little Solsbury Hill Camp’). This is a fair sized, sub-triangular enclosure of approximately 20 acres (9 hectares). The defences are univalate, with the ramparts originally being faced with dry-stone walling. They are now around three feet at their tallest point. The original entrance is inturned, and in the North West rampart.
