Stantonbury Camp hillfort is a univallate Iron Age enclosure of less than 3 acres (1.20 hectares). The Northern rampart is overlain by the Wansdyke, a massive post-Roman earthwork which is thought to terminate at Maes Knoll Camp, the best part of 5 miles away. It’s possible that the original entrance has been covered by this modification.
