Tunley Camp Hillfort, Somerset

Tunley Camp hillfort is a univallate sub-rectangular enclosure or probable Iron Age date. Much of it has been ploughed out, and only the Western run of defences survives to any degree, preserved as hedgerow. There is no convincing sign of the original entrance, though the OS map from 1961 records a trackway entering the Western ramparts at about mid-point. This may or may not provide a clue.
